46. Unexpected Happenings

My paintbrush suddenly started leaving a lot of bristles behind in the glaze. It wasn't unusual for one or two strays to get themselves stuck but this was an obscene number to be left. When I washed my brush at the end of class, I found out why...the paintbrush had completely fallen apart. Oops.

45. Never Let You Go

Our Third Eye Blind tickets came in the mail today! I CAN'T WAIT for that concert. It's going to be absolutely fantastically wonderfully amazing!

Pop of Color

There's this rock garden on campus outside the building that houses our geology department (which rocks, by the way). All the rocks are a little gray and muted, especially today since it was rainy. For our dyad, my friend Katy and I took a few of the rocks, painted them, and then returned them to the garden. Aren't they the cutest?

Uptown

The mall in Uptown has these gorgeous umbrellas hanging from the ceiling and if you look closely enough, there's a little Mary Poppins hanging out, too.

43. Creeping

That girl on the computer there was a Toothless sticker on her computer. It's the best thing I've ever seen so of course I had to take a picture. I tried to be as inconspicuous as possible.

42. Graduating Cow

It was grad-fest at the Bookstore today so to get in the spirit, my co-worker decorated the supplies department with this happy, graduating cow. 

41. Freaking Cold

I wore so many, waterproof layers to practice today to no avail. I was soaking wet and freezing by the end of practice anyway.

What even is this? I thought spring started while we were on break?

Undefeated!

We had our scrimmage against Georgia Tech and New Hampshire today and we won! It was a ton of fun and I'm now very excited for the rest of spring season. 

Schmidget

As the only boy coxswain, poor Schmidty puts up with a lot from the rest of us. Tonight we attacked him with silly string. I don't think he appreciated it as much as we did. 

Atlanta

We got this afternoon off so we could go explore in Atlanta. We couldn't not go to the Olympic park.

I Have No Idea

They did this all by themselves.... All I did was ask to take a picture.

Switch

Sometimes we switch guys half-way through practice. Instead of docking and going back out, coach just pulls the launch up to the boat and has everyone do acrobatics to get in their respective seats.

Gather

There are rowers hiding behind the trailer back there :)

On the Road

The drive to Gainesville took 23 hours because we got a little lost.

39. Friday the 13th

The crew team left for Georgia today. These are my bags...I needed Maty to help me carry them all down to the boat house. Those bags hold clothes enough for one coxswain for a  week, enough dry food for a week person, enough cold food for the week, and food for an entire van of athletes.

38. Red Chain

I love this bike. That blue color is gorgeous, it was one white wheel, one black, and look at that awesome red chain

37. Creepy

I had to draw a person for my art homework this week and I'm not really that good at people. I also dislike eyes so I left them until the end and the result was this REALLY creepy drawing.

36. Painting Dyad

I hadn't been in the painting studio since my first semester but I went back today to paint with Katie for our dyad. I painted that blue and green thing with my feet wearing bubble-wrap shoes and Katie painted her geometric masterpiece with both hands spreading paint around the paper. It was a lot of fun!

35. Hours Have Changed

The Pharmacy hours changed. Too bad I didn't get the memo so I came on Saturday to get insulin and the pharmacy was closed. I went back tonight 'cause I still need that insulin and the pharmacy was closed. Now I have the new hours so I hopefully won't have this struggle again.

Look at These Awkward People

I can't remember why we kicked them out of the room for a moment, but we kicked them out of the room for a moment. When I went to go tell them they were welcomed back, this is how I found them hanging out. 

34. Lights, Camera, Action!

We filmed the convocation video today for all the freshmen to see in September. It was kind of scary to be behind the camera and I felt a little awkward, not gonna lie. We'll see how awkward I really was in September...

33. The Ants go Marching...

Someone dropped some sort of food item in the lobby of the art building and the ants loved it. I don't know where they all came from...

32. Hello!

There's a nice friendly 'hello' written in the frost of our glass door put there by my sister.

31. Fort Snelling

My grandpa's funeral was today. My mom and sister came up for the service. I'm very glad I was able send him off surrounded by my family.

This is my cousin. He absolutely hates having his picture taken and refuses to cooperate when we try to take his picture.
