I did not take this picture - my mother did. My mother, who is the biggest germaphobe I personally know, allows her 16 year old cat to do whatever she wants, including eat my mother's dinner straight out of the bowl.

My (sister's) pretty girl came with me on my run today. Since this is the first day of 5k conditioning I thought it'd be relatively easy but both of us were hot and huffing by the time we got back.

Today I went to a Saint Paul Saints baseball game with a friend of mine. It was a beautiful night for baseball and fireworks.

I was trying to document this vegan sausage since I made that bun from scratch, and Mathieu thought he could swipe it with his grabby little hands. No sir.

I left buns proofing under a towel overnight. When I came downstairs this morning this was the state that they were in. My cats are a**holes who don't allow me to have nice things.

It's a full moon tonight so my crystals will rest in the window to catch some moon rays.

Someday I want to have chickens so in the interest of chicken research I trespassed into my Aunt's neighbor's yard to check out their coop. As soon as I entered the yard the ladies came out of the shrubbery and surrounded me. I like to pretend the girl gang was just saying hi; they weren't planning to peck my feet.

I'm planning to run my second 5k this year, this time bringing along my mom and sister. Since I don't run very often I need a training schedule for the weeks leading up to the actual 5k. Let the training commence!
