196/365 Found Treasures

I found a feather on my way to the lightrail stop this morning. I like to appreciate these little treasures since I live in a major metropolitan area I don't see as many woodland creatures as I used to.

195/365 Cinnamon Rolls

First try at cinnamon rolls. I didn't roll the dough thin enough, but think I'll keep this recipe cause they were still pretty good.

194/365 Army Crawl

Mathieu is technically too big to fit under my vanity, but that doesn't stop him from getting on his belly and flattening out to army crawling underneath. I don't know what he does under there but he never stays for long.

193/365 Dinner Time

My sister is out of town this weekend so I get to feed all the children. Each animal gets their own food and has their own food preparation process so it's a bit involved....

192/365 Floatie

I don't know why a college advising office needs a giant floatie, but this has been hanging out in the break room for a few days.

191/365 Growth

I can't really keep very many plants because Mathieu will eat them all so the plants I do keep have to go up where he can't reach them. That avocado seed was supposed to be a temporary fixture (just with this collection until it sprouted and I could plant it), but while the root has grown, the leaves/stem still haven't freaking grown!

190/365 Casual Tuesday?

This person is riding a scooter, with a plastic grocery bag on the handle, wearing a fleece bathrobe and slippers...

189/365 Still Begging

She's really not supposed to sit next to me while I eat cause all she does is beg, but I can't tell that face no. That is why she can get away with murder as far as I'm concerned.

188/365 Pretzels

This weeks' sourdough creation is little soft pretzels. I'm actually pretty pleased with how they turned out.

187/365 Busy Busy

Today my sister and I had a jam-packed day: we went for a run, then to the beach (at a lake in Roseville we've dubbed Mick cause that's all either of us can remember of it's actual name), then to the theater (to see the Biggest Little Farm documentary which was REALLY good), then to mom's house for s'mores (the s'mores we didn't eat on Independence Day).

186/365 Begging

This is the face of a pup that REALLY wants us to share dinner.

184/365 Runner's High

The pure bliss following a run in the humid 82 degree heat when you don't have AC to help you cool down.

183/365 Wildlife

I feel like I haven't seen a single butterfly all summer and suddenly they're EVERYWHERE.

182/365 Eavesdropping Robots

A colleague and I were having a conversation about the Harry Potter app today and I guess my phone heard me because suddenly it's an ad I'm seeing on You Tube despite the fact that I did no online searching. The timing could be a coincidence but I'm suspicious....

181/365 Longing

The puppy likes to rest her chin as she looks out the front window and proceeds to growl at everything going by.

180/365 HOT

We're under an excessive heat watch and we don't have AC so Jilly was basking in the breeze of the little fan in an effort to keep cool.

179/365 Summer Wildlife

This guy wasn't doing too well in the hot sun so I moved him on over to a shady spot in our yard.

176/365 Lawless

I did not take this picture - my mother did. My mother, who is the biggest germaphobe I personally know, allows her 16 year old cat to do whatever she wants, including eat my mother's dinner straight out of the bowl.

175/365 The Training Begins

My (sister's) pretty girl came with me on my run today. Since this is the first day of 5k conditioning I thought it'd be relatively easy but both of us were hot and huffing by the time we got back.

173/365 Prepping July Already

I started prepping the July pages of my bullet journal. I can't believe 2019 is half over already...

172/365 When the Saints Come Marching In

Today I went to a Saint Paul Saints baseball game with a friend of mine. It was a beautiful night for baseball and fireworks.

170/365 Grabby Hands

I was trying to document this vegan sausage since I made that bun from scratch, and Mathieu thought he could swipe it with his grabby little hands. No sir.

169/365 Nice Things

I left buns proofing under a towel overnight. When I came downstairs this morning this was the state that they were in. My cats are a**holes who don't allow me to have nice things.

168/365 Crystals

It's a full moon tonight so my crystals will rest in the window to catch some moon rays.

167/365 Hen House

Someday I want to have chickens so in the interest of chicken research I trespassed into my Aunt's neighbor's yard to check out their coop. As soon as I entered the yard the ladies came out of the shrubbery and surrounded me. I like to pretend the girl gang was just saying hi; they weren't planning to peck my feet.

166/365 Stone Arch Bridge Festival

Today I attended the first of many festivals that happen during the warm summer months.

165/365 Training Time

I'm planning to run my second 5k this year, this time bringing along my mom and sister. Since I don't run very often I need a training schedule for the weeks leading up to the actual 5k. Let the training commence!

164/365 Typical Jilly

Of course she had to sit only on the folded pants instead of ANYWHERE else on the cushion or the bed or the rug or the chair...
