Today I planted a bookmark. When I was cleaning up a few weeks ago I found this bookmark that's supposed to be bio-degradable and you can plant it when you're finished with your book. We'll see if it actually grows anything.

Since the weather's been so nice that cats have been begging to be let outside. Their domain is limited to the porch but I think they like the fresh air and sunshine.

Today was my birthday and I felt very loved by all the things everyone in my life did to make my birthday extra special even though we all have to practice social distancing. One of my friends dropped a donut and flowers off at my house and then stood on the sidewalk so I could talk to her from my porch. It was truly a special day and I'm so grateful for the wonderful people who helped make it that.

I confirmed grad school enrollment today which kinda scares the hell out of me. Fingers crossed it's as fun as I hope it will be.

Today was Alice's birthday! I made her work for her birthday treats by putting them in a food puzzle, I'm not sure she loved it as much as I did.

I mended a pair of jeans today! If I had been able to match the thread it would have been more impressive because it would have been more invisible, but unfortunately my thread selection is limited to white.

Why she chooses to sit on the little tray of knick-knacks when I'm sure the stool would much more comfortable I'll never understand.

I used to drive by the things people put out on the curb and pulled over to inspect it...now I walk past it but I don't have a way to transport it if I decide I like it. Oh well, someone else will enjoy this chair I'm sure.
